Description: The Engineering Quality Assurance Technical Specialist is a multifaceted role supporting prototype and production quality for the Product Assurance department, serving as the primary quality liaison for a myriad of oversights:

Position Description:
  • Primary liaison for Proposal Response for all of Engineering Quality Assurance
  • Oversight of assigned activities in the Earned Value Management System
  • Oversight of Manufacturing CDRL submittals/acceptance
  • Coordination and collaboration with adjacent divisions assigned to achieve product assurance
  • Lead Team of Document Quality Analysts:
    • Ensure appropriate resources are available to support all projects concurrently.
    • Assign and adjust workflows as needed to meet programmatic cost, quality, and schedule expectations.
    • Oversee quality of work by verifying value-added comments during task review & technical publication pre-print reviews to ensure Final Re-printable Copies meet the customers' expectations:
      • Technical accuracy, adherence to military style guides, artwork, and text correlation
      • Accuracy in spelling, grammar usage and punctuation
      • Consistency in fonts, headings, language
    • Support team members through operational, administrative, and personal obstacles to quick, thorough, and committed resolutions as needed.
    • Oversee the development and distribution of Quality Metrics Monthly Trend Report
    • Develop, maintain, and execute Periodic Audits of Packaging, Provisioning, Art, and RPSTL deliverables.
    • Provide Technical Manual Quality Assurance Plans and department CDRL response as may be contractually required.
  • Coordinate with Integrated Logistics Support Managers:
  • Serve as Activity Lead for all department's work directives to provide weekly performance metrics on all activates via EVMS to ensure cost commitments are achieved.
  • Proposal response for Basis of Estimates and Rough Orders of Magnitude
  • Coordinate with Section Managers:
  • Participate in weekly Production Meetings for all vehicles with personnel assigned to on-going and future projects.
  • Communicate directly with Diagnostics Engineering, Logistics Engineering, Maintenance Engineering, Technical Publications and Validation & Verification section managers to ensure quality and schedule are met on all deliveries.

Position Requirements:
  • Ability to motivate and lead people.
  • Ability to plan and oversee daily, weekly, and monthly activities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with Integrated Process System and Quality Process
  • Experience with MIL STD 40051
  • Experience with Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals
  • Knowledge of Logistics Products and workflows
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • BS degree with 10 years of experience preferred; advanced degree or applicable certification considered with less experience; other significant technical experience considered in lieu of degree.
  • Project Management Professional certification highly desired
