Surgical Coordinator/Scheduler at Shore Medical Center – Somers Point, New Jersey

Shore Physicians Group has an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Surgical Coordinator/Scheduler who is excited by the prospect of joining a group experiencing exponential growth. Core Competencies and Responsibilities

• Cordially interacts with physicians, vendors, clinical support, and hospital staff
• Exemplifies strong customer service skills to phone etiquette
• Demonstrates understanding, compassion and sensitivity towards patients, coworkers, and families
• Understands plastic/reconstructive and general surgical procedures
• Abides by scheduling protocol as directed by physicians
• Handles insurance verifications, referrals, and authorizations according to office guidelines
• Follows CPT and ICD9 best practices

Minimum Requirements

• 5 years experience in a medical office setting, or equivalent experience
• 2 years experience in surgical scheduling
• Previous experience in an ambulatory or hospital setting
• Thorough knowledge of CPT/ ICD9 coding and experience with surgical modifiers
• Ability to interact with all levels of physician practice
• Must be able to handle multiple physicians with multiple specialties
• Must be able to exhibit a history of customer service, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience

Salary Range (Based on Experience)

• $18.76 - $26.54
