About this Opportunity:

This position effectively develops and communicates the technical requirements for the implementation of efficient, economical, manufacturing processes required for product realization. Effectively resolve manufacturing problems in a timely manner and continually evaluate and make cost, quality, and productivity improvements to manufacturing processes, Mentor and lead other engineers in fulfilling their duties in an efficient and effective manner. Improvement projects and activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Applies professional training and experience to identify, document, and communicate customer requirements, both documented and verbal.
  • Manages projects according to documented procedures to ensure project scope and product requirements are met. Project management will include prompt and concise reporting of details, including target conditions, actions, and results with due dates.
  • Develops and implements effective, economical manufacturing processes according to customer needs and the cost standards developed in quoting.
  • Researches and deploys new technologies in support of the Hobson & Motzer business plan.
  • Evaluates and effectively resolves manufacturing problems using scientific thinking and methods in a timely manner.
  • Plans, schedules, and facilitates formal and informal review meetings at suitable stages of projects.
  • Plans and coordinates process/product validation activities, including customer approval.
  • May be required to communicate with customers on technical issues related to assigned projects/products.
  • Coordinates project activities with internal and external functions as required.
  • Coordinates with Quality for planning of new projects and engineering changes.
  • Monitors, analyzes, and coordinates improvement activities for assigned production products and processes.
  • Develops and creates written documentation for manufacturing processes, instructions, and purchase specifications.
  • Effectively interacts with company personnel at all levels.
  • Maintains a professional attitude and presence when dealing with customers.
  • Meets departmental goals, as directed.
  • Leads and develops teams for problem-solving and continuous improvement projects.
  • Understands and follows all quality system procedures.
  • Collaborates with coworkers in continuous improvement activities and the idea system.
  • Maintains an organized, clean, and safe work environment and follows 6S standards.
  • Properly follows all H&M procedures and policies.
  • Uses correct PPE per JHAs and job description.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or Associate’s degree (A.S.) with a minimum of ten (10) years of related experience and/or training
  • Experience with gauging, methods/design, and geometric tolerancing
  • Experience with use and calibration of measuring equipment
  • Knowledge of documentation design and control
  • Strong leadership and judgment skills
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Methodical, organized work habits
  • Drive, initiative, and strong follow-through
  • Dependability and stability
  • Problem-solving ability using scientific methodology
