About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Human Resources Coordinator to support the daily operations of our HR department in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role works closely with the HR Director and plant leadership to help ensure HR processes, employee records, and administrative functions run smoothly.
The HR Coordinator serves as an important connection between plant operations and the HR office, supporting employees, supervisors, and visitors while helping maintain compliance with company policies and employment regulations.
This role offers hands-on exposure to recruiting, payroll administration, employee support, and compliance, making it an excellent opportunity for someone early in their HR career who is interested in developing within the Human Resources field.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain employee records and HR databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Support payroll and timekeeping processes by reviewing time records and assisting with payroll preparation.
- Maintain and organize employee personnel files and required employment documentation.
- Assist with recruiting activities including scheduling interviews, coordinating with staffing agencies, and supporting onboarding.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee questions regarding HR policies and procedures.
- Assist with workers’ compensation case tracking and workplace incident documentation.
- Assist with maintaining workplace safety documentation and supporting Cal/OSHA compliance requirements, including injury recordkeeping, safety training records, and required postings.
- Track employee certifications and required training such as harassment prevention and forklift certifications.
- Assist with HR compliance documentation and internal audits.
- Provide administrative support to the HR department and assist with special projects as needed.
- Assist in coordinating HR programs including employee meetings, training initiatives, and company events.
What Success Looks Like in This Role
Within the first several months, a successful HR Coordinator will:
- Maintain accurate and well-organized employee records and HR documentation.
- Support timely and accurate payroll and timekeeping processes.
- Build strong working relationships with supervisors and employees across both the office and production floor.
- Help ensure recruiting and onboarding processes run smoothly.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle employee information with professionalism.
- Contribute to a supportive and compliant workplace environment.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Demonstrated interest in developing a career in Human Resources.
- 1–3 years of administrative or HR-related experience preferred.
- Experience working with an HRIS, payroll, or timekeeping system preferred.
- Experience supporting hourly or production employees in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Bilingual Spanish speaking and writing preferred.

Compensation
The expected pay range for this position is $21 – $30 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and skills. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors including relevant experience and internal equity.
Work Environment
This position is based in a manufacturing environment and requires regular interaction with both office staff and hourly production employees.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to move between office and production floor environments as needed.
- Occasionally lift and carry items up to 15 pounds.
- Ability to communicate and interact with employees throughout the facility.
