About This Position

Description:

Do you love the science of wine as much as the soul of it?

Are you equally comfortable with a pipette, a barrel thief, and a tasting glass? If so, we have your dream job!

We’re looking for a passionate Enologist to join our Production Team and help guide our wines from grape to bottle. This role blends analytical precision, sensory curiosity, and hands-on cellar work to help ensure every bottle meets our standards of quality, creativity, and character.

At its core, the Enologist helps transform vineyard fruit into finished wine by monitoring fermentations, analyzing samples, and supporting winemaking decisions.

If you love problem solving, data, harvest chaos, and the magic of watching wine evolve — keep reading.

Requirements:

You’ll be the guardian of the numbers behind the wine.

  • Maintain a clean, organized laboratory and keep supplies stocked
  • Calibrate and maintain lab equipment
  • Perform chemical and analytical tests on juice, must, and wine
  • Track lab results and manage data in InnoVint
  • Prepare samples for outside labs and interpret results
  • Perform calculations for wine additions and movements
  • Generate reports and track vessels, lots, and wine progress
Get Your Hands Dirty in the Cellar

  • Bottling and production support
  • Harvest operations including grape receiving, pressing, and pumpovers
  • Assist with vineyard sampling and seasonal field work

  • Support special winery projects (labeling, waxing, case changes)
  • Collaborate across departments
  • Occasionally represent the winery at events or industry gatherings
What We’re Looking For
  • 3+ years experience in winery production and lab operations
  • Proficiency with InnoVint and Microsoft Office
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with a flexible, positive mindset
  • Ability to work harvest hours (early mornings, late nights, weekends)
  • Forklift, respirator, and propane certifications
