3rd Shift Supervisor -Manufacturing (Machine Shop) at MICROBEST INC – Waterbury, Connecticut

Are you an experienced 3rd Shift Supervisor looking to lead a dynamic team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? We are seeking a motivated individual with strong leadership and technical skills to oversee operations during our evening shift. This role offers the opportunity to supervise a team of 50+ employees, ensure production goals are met, and apply your machine troubleshooting expertise to maintain efficient workflow.

Key Responsibilities

Supervision & Leadership:

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of machine operators and technicians.
• Ensure production targets, quality standards, and safety protocols are consistently met.
• Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and teamwork.
• Accurately track employee work hours and approved timecards per company policies.
• Address any employee concerns or performance issues professionally and effectively.

Machine Troubleshooting & Technical Support:

• Utilize your technical skills to diagnose and resolve machine issues, minimizing downtime.
• Monitor equipment performance and proactively address potential problems.

Training & Development:

• Train and mentor employees to enhance technical skills and increase productivity.
• Identify individual skill gaps and coordinate appropriate training initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records of production output, machine performance, and employee development.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Proven experience in manufacturing supervision, preferably in a machine shop environment.
• Strong machine operation, setup, and troubleshooting experience.
• Effective leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with safety protocols and best practices in a manufacturing setting.
• Basic proficiency with computer applications for documentation and reporting.
• Willingness to work 2nd shift and occasional weekends as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications are a plus.
