About the role

The Sales & Operations, and Demand Planning Manager is responsible for leading the sales and operations planning process for the company. This is the primary responsibility of the role. This includes the direct sourcing of materials for operations in the USA, demand planning for international operations, strategic vendor relationships and the efficient logistical movement of product through the supply chain and ultimately to the customer.

What you'll do

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops/improves and leads the Sales & Operations (S&OP) process across a network of internal international manufacturing sites and contract manufacturers.
  • Responsible for the management of monthly, and quarterly production scheduling process MPS (Master Production Schedule)
  • Partners directly with the manufacturing team to optimize capacity planning and develop strategies to support the future product demand growth
  • Manages end-to-end supply chain from point of manufacture to delivery to final customer. Portfolio of products encompasses bulk non-sterile, sterile medical devices and pharmaceuticals
  • Regularly interacts with other functional areas such as Regulatory, Quality, Manufacturing, and R&D to conduct scenario planning to proactively provide analysis and recommendations on alternative supply chain constructs with cost-benefit analysis.
  • Proactively provides key project issues and status to ELT to ensure full understanding of all risks and applicable mitigation plans.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, inventory management, procurement, or related field, with a minimum of 5 years of planning and strategic sourcing experience
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of quality control, SOPs, GMPs, OSHA, FDA policies and regulations, personnel policies, and budget guidelines
  • Ability to effectively organize cross-functional teams, maintain project timelines, articulate proposed solutions and associated benefits across the organization, and successfully guide the implementation including all change management aspects
  • Experience managing contract manufacturing and third-party logistical provided organizations.
  • Experience in process improvement and continuous improvement methodologies. Practical working knowledge of Lean principles resulting in measurable and tangible benefits to the organization.
  • Knowledge of ERP (NetSuite preferred) computerized control systems, and experience in the implementation of ERP supply chain module systems is required.

PREFERRED SKILLSET:

  • CPIM Certification through APICS, preferred
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, written communication and problem-solving skills. Must be comfortable and adept in communicating with senior leaders and executive management
  • Possess above-average interpersonal skills demonstrating the ability to work with others in a professional, positive and collaborative manner
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to meet tight deadlines
  • Willingness to learn, possess a can-do attitude, and motivated to succeed and grow
  • Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail
  • Advanced level in MS Office Suite; expert level in MS Excel
  • Experience working in a start-up environment, helpful
