About This Position

Description:

CIFC Health, a project of Connecticut Institute For Communities, Inc., seeks a part-time X-Ray Technician. The ideal candidate will be ARRT-certified with experience performing diagnostic X-rays in a fast-paced outpatient setting. You’ll play a vital role in assisting in the diagnosis and treatment of patients by producing high-quality images while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Requirements:
  1. Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures according to established protocols and physician orders.
  2. Position patients accurately and safely to obtain optimal imaging.
  3. Operate radiographic equipment, adjusting techniques as necessary for patient condition and area of interest.
  4. Ensure all imaging is stored and documented accurately in the PACS system.
  5. Maintain a clean, safe, and patient-friendly environment.
  6. Comply with all HIPAA, infection control, and radiation safety guidelines.
  7. Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  8. Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
  9. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Successful candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED; and

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • ARRT certification in Radiography (R) required.
  • Valid Connecticut state radiologic technologist license.
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association or equivalent) required.
  • 1+ year of experience preferred (new grads with clinical experience may be considered).
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
