About This Position
The Aerosol Jet (AJ) Solutions Architect (SA) works with the Sales and Engineering in driving and managing Aerosol Jet product sales. The SA’s are specifically responsible for evaluating requests from customers and developing technical demonstrations based on the capabilities of the AJ process and available materials, and in doing so, driving product sales. The SAs consult customers on applications and materials requirements and propose solutions based on AJ technology. The SAs write SOW work plans, and if appropriate, prepare quotations for professional services and AJ products. The SAs may also contribute to post-sales advanced applications workshops and factory acceptance testing of equipment. They will occasionally advise and engage the product development team on product roadmaps.
Responsibilities:
Ø Provide business and technical introduction of Aerosol Jet technology to prospective customers.
Ø Assist in the sales process by gathering customer applications requirements, writing SOWs (Statements of Work) for POC (Proof of Concept) projects, and executing the projects in the lab.
Ø Respond to technical requirements for RFQs (Request for Quotations)
Ø Review the business context for customer applications to ensure the Optomec products satisfy short- and long-term goals.
Ø Participate in product and technical roadmap planning sessions especially providing input from the customer point of view.
Ø Assist Solutions Architect team on solutions management and financial spending.
Ø Support the identification and recommendation of appropriate upgrades, replacements, or decommissioning of products.
Ø Support user education of the AJ process, materials, and applications through technical notes, online forums, user-group, and professional conference meetings.
Ø May involve up to 20% domestic and international travel to customer and vendor sites.
Qualifications:
Ideal candidates are self-motivated with excellent hands-on knowledge of electronics manufacturing, materials, processes and technology. Candidate must thrive in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base. The candidate must possess strong professional communication skills in areas of proposal and technical report writing, verbal presentations, and small group consultation.
Requirements:Ø Preferred B.S, M.S, or Ph.D. in sciences or engineering, Working knowledge of general chemistry.
Ø Working knowledge of electronic test equipment and procedures, especially DC and RF electrical measurements.
Ø Knowledge of materials characterization techniques, such as SEM, TEM, EDS, XRD, TGA, and conductivity testing.
Ø Preferred experience with product reliability testing such as cyclic fatigue, thermal cycling, damp heat, adhesion, and corrosion testing.
Ø Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Ø Strong work ethic – driven to exceed customer expectations within delivery timeframe.
