#1678 | Machinist 1 - 1st Shift at ALL METALS PROCESSING OF ORANGE COUNTY LLC – Santa Ana, California

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Machinist 1 is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. This role requires skill interpreting blueprints, using precision measuring instruments, and operating conventional lathe machines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs proper set-up and running of conventional lathe machine ensuring the use of tooling associated with machine. Will read and interpret blueprints, sketches, specification to ensure correct specified dimensions and tolerances.Performs turning and threading material.Maintains a clean and safe working environment.Performs other duties as assigned.Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.Adhere to local, state, and federal regulations regarding facility maintenance.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

1 year conventional lathe experience. Knowledge and experience setting-up and running conventional lathe machines.Knowledge of performing shop mathematics associated with machining.Knowledge and familiarity with hand tools and precision instruments (i.e. micrometer, calipers, etc.).Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications.Posses good organizational skills and attention to detail.

COMPENSATION: Negotiable
