About This Position
You are the calm in the moment that matters.
The First Responder supports the safety and wellbeing of guests and team members across Sand Valley. You move quickly, think clearly, and step in when something goes wrong. You work across the entire property, indoors and outdoors, alongside leaders and local emergency services. Your presence helps people feel safe, cared for, and able to fully enjoy their time here.
What Youll Do- Respond to medical and emergency calls anywhere on property and provide immediate care
- Assess situations quickly and decide what needs to happen next
- Coordinate with local emergency services when escalation is needed
- Support patient care and transport until additional help arrives
- Keep medical equipment ready, organized, and where it needs to be
- Document incidents clearly and accurately
- Support workplace injury reporting and follow up
- Communicate calmly with guests and team members, even in high stress moments
- Offer reassurance and steady presence when people need it most
- Participate in training, drills, and certification renewals
- Step in wherever safety support is needed
Required
- Current EMR certification
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Sound judgment and the ability to stay calm under pressure
- Clear communication and a team first mindset
- Strong attention to detail with documentation
- Ability to meet background check, MVR, and drug screening requirements
- Ability to operate a vehicle if needed
Preferred
- EMT or higher certification
- Experience with workplace injuries or incident reporting
- Experience in hospitality, outdoor recreation, or large properties
- Familiarity working with local emergency services
You will move across the property in all conditions. You will respond quickly. You will be on your feet, outside, and in situations that require both urgency and composure.

This role is primarily Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Occasional evenings and weekends are expected to support events, peak times, and resort needs.
