Food Manufacturing Production Associate (4 month contract) at The Spice House – Elk Grove Village, Illinois

We are searching for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals for our Seasonal Food Production Associate position (April-July, with possibility to covert perm after the contract). We offer a strong team environment, fun atmosphere, and the potential for growth. While you will be trained on the specific requirements of the position, we are seeking candidates who are self-motivated and dependable, excited to learn, and have an interest in food and flavor.

Current openings are full-time positions from April-July, first shift (6AM-4:30PM), Monday to Thursday. Pay starts at $17/hour with the possibility to be hired permanently after the contract.

Responsibilities and Duties

Joining our Production Center team means you will be trained in a variety of areas of spice manufacturing including (but not limited to):

• Packaging spices & blends into bags & jars;
• Labeling bags & jars;
• Performing quality control checks;
• Conducting cycle counts and inventory moves using an electronic handheld device;
• Understanding of the day-to-day manufacturing warehouse operations regarding logistics, systems and processes in order to meet demand and maintain strict safety standards.

Reports To: Production Supervisor

Classification: Hourly, non-exempt

Essential Functions of the Job: While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to read, count and write accurately. Must be able to climb ladders, work standing for extended periods of time and move items that can weigh up to 50 pounds. All employees in this position must be at their assigned stations at the start of their scheduled shift.
