DRIVER
Looking for someone with an open schedule able to transport individuals to and from their destinations.
Job Details?
A Driver will be assigned driving routes and be responsible for picking up and taking home Individuals with Developmental Disabilities to and from vocational sites and jobs while assisting in other duties as needed. Responsibilities include the following:
- Perform daily pre-trip inspection of assigned vehicles
- Operate Sunshine vehicles to transport multiple Individuals at a time
- Maintain order during trip and adhere to safety rules
- Assist Individuals with On-boarding and Off-boarding safely from the vehicle
- Follow assigned routes
- Secure Individuals equipment and wheelchairs on and off the vehicle
- Complete daily paperwork and monitor maintenance issues
- Train staff on driving as needed
- Assist with all duties assigned

Qualifications
To work as a Driver at Sunshine, you must love to drive and have a strong interest in supporting others and show compassion and empathy. Reliability and consistency is essential to excelling as a Driver.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver's License, good driving record and Auto Insurance
- 18 years or older
- Pass criminal background, drug screen and physical and PT assessment
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Prior Driving experience with Vans or Buses is a plus
