About This Position

Description:

Job Summary: The primary function of the Fab Shop Hydraulic Repair Technician is to diagnose and repair hydraulic systems on vocational vehicles. Daily use of power and hand tools.

Essential Responsibilities:

· Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems on vocational vehicles.

· Determine a course of action for damaged parts and systems.

· R&R Hydraulic Pumps, Cylinders and Hoses/Fittings

· R&R PTO’s (Power Take-Offs)

· Utilize pressure washer if bottom of truck/transmission needs cleaned off prior to repair

· Welding (Mig)

· Basic Electrical

· Accurately records time, cause and correction on Repair Orders.

Position requires the ability to operate motor vehicles and have safe driving record. Current Commercial Driver's License is preferred but not required.

Sufficient manual dexterity to operate office equipment (or operate a PC), mechanical tools such has wrenches, sockets, grips, air tools, and other basic shop tools.

Ability to climb ladders

Ability requires a person to bend, twist, squat, reach in order to perform tasks on truck components.

Ability to lift a minimum of 60lbs unassisted.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, due to tools and engine noise.
