Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Receiver for our food manufacturing facility. This role is critical for ensuring the quality and safety of incoming materials and products through inspection, testing, and documentation. Ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of quality control, food manufacturing experience, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Receive and inspect incoming shipments of raw materials, packaging materials, and other supplies for quality, quantity, and proper documentation
• Perform detailed inspections of incoming products, including visual checks for damage, defects, and proper labeling. Ensure quality control tests effectively
• Collect representative samples of incoming materials and products for laboratory testing and analysis. Check label accuracy and integrity, check receiving materials size
• Conduct various quality control tests and analyses, sensory testing
• Compare test results against established specifications and tolerances
• Accurately document all inspection results, test data, and any deviations or non-conformances in appropriate logs, databases, and reports
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage and handling of samples and test materials
• Assist in other quality control activities assigned by the supervisor or manager
• Place materials on hold, if it is needed, and follow the Hold procedure
Hiring Requirements:
• GMP experience in manufacturing environment
• Working knowledge of safety rules, regulations and training.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English)
• Ability to perform various quality control tests and analyses accurately and efficiently
• Good Communication skills
• Excellent documentation and record-keeping skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and report quality issues.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
