Position Summary:
This position serves as the development coordinator for the WH Foundation and supports Foundation staff and Board in an administrative function. This position is responsible for grateful patient screening, review, and prospect mining activities, performing daily office management tasks, and supporting event management.

Position Requirements:
Formal Education/Training:
Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent combination of work experience and training considered; Major in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Communications, or Marketing is a plus. Development and Donor Relations experience preferred.

Workplace Experience:
3 years minimum experience in customer service role required; office-related skills in a non-profit organization preferred.

Equipment and Skills Training:
Computer software knowledge: Raiser’s Edge software preferred; Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook., Telephones, Laptop Computer and LCD HD monitors.

Physical Environment:
General office environment, in addition to outside corporate and community event locations as deemed necessary by the department’s work plan.

Physical Effort:
Ability to stand up to four hours at time, load and unload boxes for special events outside WH. Must exhibit strong communication skills-–both verbal and written.

Key Results:
Coordinates the daily business operation of the Foundation office in a professional manner, including but not limited to organizing, stocking, incoming and outgoing mail. Handles front line communication for Foundation office.
Conduct the review of daily, weekly and monthly patient screenings and reports per the Grateful Patient program recommendations.
Conduct proactive research focused on lead generation in order to enhance the pool of prospective donors and further the fund raising priorities and goals.
Proficient in Raiser’s Edge database and all modules utilized for entry and management of constituents.
Screens for grateful patient process using ResearchPoint, conducts in-depth research of potential donors making note in constituent file. Coordinates Grateful Patient Program; calls monthly meetings with Foundation staff to assign prospects to portfolios and records those assignments and all research data in RE.
Handles all donor acknowledgments. Maintains accurate and up-to-date files and constituent records.
Provides quality assurance for data projects and strategic program plans.
Schedules Board and committee meetings and handles any details for the meetings, including securing meeting space, meals, handouts, special guests, etc.
Provides administrative support to all Foundation Board Committees. Prepares agenda and minutes for the Foundation Board of Directors’ and Committee meetings. Attends all Foundation Board and Committee meetings.
Provides database support to all staff and fulfills requests for data queries, donor lists, donor profiles, uploads, exports, and reports for Foundation, executive team, physician and campaign committee meetings
Supports special events for the Foundation from planning to completion. Participates as a volunteer for any hospital activity exhibiting spirit of strong teamwork.
Special projects and other duties as requested or assigned by Philanthropy Operations Manager or Foundation Executive Director.
