About This Position
SUMMARY: LA Global Care aims to provide the highest quality support to a range of individuals with complex shelter needs; providing a safe and welcoming place to live; help equip client to overcome negative obstacles in obtaining permanent housing; to ensure staff presence regularly.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Provide live-in residential support during work hours established
- Responsible for security of the housing unit to ensure that the accommodations provided to the clients are safe and secure
- Conduct (daily) room inspection and report findings to supervisor
- Conduct exit interviews or exit residents out of the shelter.
- Make sure the shelter is clean and properly locked and secured at curfew (daily)
- Wear appropriate clothing, including a staff uniform shirt and staff ID badges while working
- Complete weekly activity sheet (based on contract)
- Maintain daily log of all activities and shift changes
- Review, update, maintain and distribute forms and documentation for all clients
- Update communication board
- Cultural sensitivity working with various populations with tact and diplomacy
- Maintain, review and submit accurate client sign-in sheets on time
- Conduct all functions in accordance with Agency guidelines, policies and procedures
- Adhere to CDC policy for COVID-19 policy and procedures
- Maintenance of sanitation stations and daily checks of inventory
- Maintain routine cleanliness of house and/or sign housing chores for residents/clients
- Communicate open room and/or bed assignments for new clients
- Communicate when clients are missing or did not report back to housing ocation (after 3 days)
- Give new residents a tour of the facility, identifying smoking areas.
- Inspect residents’ personal belongings for weapons, alcohol or illegal drugs.
- Conduct exit interviews or exit residents out of the shelter.
