General Laborer at Bob Miller Masonry Inc – Sarasota, Florida

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to complete all areas outlined for this position in a satisfactory manner. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities necessary to meet the minimum job requirements of this position.

Principal accountabilities:

• Assist construction site workers in erecting structures.
• Unload and load construction materials.
• Distribute materials.
• Erect concrete forms and scaffolding.
• Mix and pour concrete and mortar.
• Level concrete and earth using trowels and shovels.
• Remove debris.
• Direct and control traffic.
• Assist heavy equipment operators to secure special attachments to equipment.
• Signal operators to guide them in moving equipment and provide assistance.
• Oil and grease hoists.
• Operate pneumatic hammers, vibrators and tampers

Education:

• Preferred: High School Diploma or GED

Experience:

• Required: None.
• Preferred: Two (2) or more years in the construction industry as a laborer or other construction trade role.
