Responsibilities

The Senior Manager, Executive Communications serves as a key communications partner to the Management Committee, shaping and delivering high-impact messaging across internal and external platforms. This role is responsible for developing clear, compelling, and strategically aligned content that reflects the Management Committee's voice and advances enterprise priorities.

Working closely with Communications leadership and cross-functional partners, this position translates business strategy into executive-level messaging, ensures alignment across audiences and channels, and prepares the Management Committee for high-visibility engagements. Success in this role requires exceptional writing ability, strong business acumen, sound judgment, and the discretion necessary to support a senior executive.

  • Support the development and evolution of the Management Committee's messaging platform in alignment with enterprise strategy and business priorities.

  • Shape clear, consistent narratives across internal and external communications.

  • Identify themes, opportunities, and sensitivities that may influence executive positioning.

  • Draft, edit, and refine internal and external speeches, remarks, talking points, scripts, and written materials in the Management Committee's voice.

  • Develop social media posts and short-form digital content for enterprise platforms.

  • Draft bylined articles, op-eds, and thought leadership content aligned with company messaging and approvals.

  • Maintain a deep understanding of the Management Committee's tone, cadence, and stylistic preferences, adapting appropriately by audience and setting.

  • Lead preparation of comprehensive briefing materials for internal meetings, external events, media engagements, and key stakeholder interactions.

  • Synthesize inputs from Events, PR, CMG, Client Partnerships, and business leaders into concise, decision-ready documents.

  • Anticipate likely questions and prepare responses that reflect approved messaging and strategic positioning.

  • Provide real-time or on-site communications support for priority engagements as needed

  • Collaborate with Content, Events, PR, Digital, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment and consistency across the Management Committee-related communications.

  • Manage timelines, approvals, and version control to ensure timely and accurate delivery.

  • Maintain organized records of the Management Committee materials and messaging frameworks for continuity and reference.

  • Incorporate feedback from the Management Committee and Communications leadership to strengthen future messaging.

  • Monitor internal and external developments that may inform executive communications priorities.

  • Provide selective writing or editing support for other senior leaders as prioritized by Communications leadership.



Qualifications

Minimum Requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Political Science, or a related field
  • 8–10 years of experience in executive communications, speechwriting, public affairs, corporate communications, journalism, ghostwriting, political campaigns, or related fields
  • Experience supporting senior leaders or high-visibility principals preferred
  • Outstanding writing and editing skills across formats
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and authentically replicate executive voice
  • Strong narrative development and message framing capabilities
  • Experience preparing executive briefings and high-stakes communications
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with sound judgment
  • Advanced written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and project management capabilities
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders and approval processes
  • Familiarity with executive communications workflows
  • Compensation: NY: $118,400 - $175,900; Houston: will be dependent on experience
