We also offer all paid days off for Federal holidays!Role:The HomeX Support Specialist plays a critical role within the Lending Division, supporting Mortgage, Home Equity, and Home Improvement operations. This position combines loan origination support, contractor onboarding and management, compliance oversight, and member experience to ensure seamless, efficient, and compliant service delivery.This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys cross-functional collaboration, and is passionate about improving processes and delivering exceptional service to members and partners.Work Location:This is an onsite position in San Antonio. Occasional remote work may be available with prior management approval.What you will be doing:
- Supports the end-to-end loan origination process, including guiding borrowers, collecting documentation, and assisting through underwriting and closing.Evaluates borrower financial information to determine eligibility and support lending decisions.Coordinates contractor onboarding and renewal processes, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.Conducts due diligence on contractors, including reviewing financials, licensing, insurance, and overall risk.Maintains contractor records and supports ongoing contractor management, including updates, performance monitoring, and issue resolution.Serves as a key point of contact for contractor and member inquiries, ensuring timely and professional support.Manages contractor outreach efforts, supporting network growth through engagement and lead qualification.Monitors and interprets regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws.Supports audit readiness and maintains accurate documentation for lending and contractor operations.Analyzes data and performance metrics to identify trends, improve processes, and enhance operational efficiency.Develops and maintains procedures, job aids, and training materials to support consistent operations.Assists with training initiatives for both internal teams and contractor partners.Identifies process improvement opportunities and implements solutions to enhance productivity and service delivery.Provides an exceptional member experience by resolving issues, responding to inquiries, and ensuring satisfaction.Performs all other duties as required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred.2–4 years of experience in financial services, mortgage operations, lending, or contractor/dealer management.Strong understanding of lending processes, real estate transactions, or contractor management preferred.Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.Analytical mindset with the ability to assess risk and interpret data.Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems quickly.Must be available to work overtime and Saturdays, as needed.Must be bondable.Must obtain and maintain a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) License within six (6) months of hire.
