About This Position
Manager Maintenance/General Maintenance
Under the general direction of the Director of Facilities, the Facility Manager is responsible for assisting the Director of Facilities in the overall operation of the Facilities Department inclusive of administrative as well as technical operations. This position will Perform and supervise preventative maintenance schedules. Assists in computing costs, scheduling and expediting operations and repairs, supervises, and assists with emergency and major repair jobs, assures regulatory compliance, and inspects buildings and grounds. Assists in ordering equipment and supplies. Is responsible to detect, minimize, and control fire hazards. Responsible for performing fire drills as well as being a first responder. Assists in managing contracted services for the Facilities Department, including construction and capital projects. Assumes duties of building operations in the absence of the Director of Facilities.
Hourly Pay Range: $39.96 - $58.94
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or an equivalent combination of training and progressively responsible experience that will results in the required specialized knowledge and abilities to perform the assigned work.
Experience:
- Must have a minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible facilities supervisory/management experience preferably in an industrial or hospital setting that demonstrates an understanding of the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Certification/Licensure:
- Requires possession of and the ability to retain a current, valid AZ driver’s license in good standing and must carry the AZ legally required minimum insurance coverage on personal vehicle at all times. Requires a Fingerprint Card.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Must have working knowledge of building systems codes, OSHA requirements, and knowledge of safe working techniques and procedures.
- Must have the ability to supervise and coordinate the work of subordinate personnel in a manner conducive to full performance and high morale.
- Must be approachable, people oriented, and a good listener.
- Must be a change agent able to develop, implement and maintain policies and processes.
- Requires the ability to be a creative, independent thinker.
- Must exhibit a high degree of professionalism, customer service, and enthusiasm, combined with the ability to build relationships with business and key stakeholders.
- Must possess solid analytical and problem-solving skills along with the ability to utilize the appropriate management techniques to plan, organize, control and coordinate activities.
- Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.
