This position will handle post-award accounting responsibilities for complex grants and contracts. This includes monitoring account activity,
conducting internal audits, solving complicated issues, apply relevant policies and procedures.
Performs post-award accounting duties for complex grants and contracts. Monitors account activity, performs internal audits, resolves complex issues, and provides policy and procedure interpretation. Prepares complex government reports and reviews routine reports. Facilitates accounting techniques and procedures to improve operations. Assists with managing special projects and budgeting functions.
Essential Functions
The position is accountable for post-award functions, both operational and financial. Will provide support for the financial activities of a large academic department. The position requires the application of a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures in research accounting, post-award administration, and budgeting. The individual in this position works with department leadership in the development and implementation of
policies, procedures, and methods to handle unusual or complex situations.
Physical Effort
This is a fairly sedentary position but may require walking to other locations on campus. Occasional lifting of files and light office equipment.
