Manager, Credentialing at Prospect CharterCARE, LLC – Providence, Rhode Island

Summary:The Credentialing Manager develops, implements and manages all functions of the Medical Staff Office at CharterCare Health Partners as required by the Medical Staff Bylaws, Joint Commission and Rhode Island licensing agencies. Works closely with the Chief Medical Officer, Medical Staff Presidents and other physician leaders to ensure effective, ongoing support of medical staff functions. Maintains all appropriate files and records related to Medical Staff operations, ensuring confidentiality of all information.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in the field of credentialing. Experience working in a leadership role in a healthcare setting supervising a team. Solid knowledge of and experience applying Joint Commission Medical Staff standards and Rhode Island credentialing requirements. CPCS or CMSC certification preferred.

Working Conditions, Physical Environment and/or Safety Requirements: Long periods of sitting, working at a computer station. Involves intermittent standing and walking. Requires no heavy lifting over 50 pounds. Meets all safety requirements associated with the facility. Must be able to work in a small noisy office and endure multiple interruptions.
