Quality Engineer

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Quality Engineer to support our manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for driving process improvement, leading root cause analysis, supporting customer requirements, and ensuring compliance with quality management systems. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced production environment and uses data-driven decision-making to reduce defects and improve performance.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead root cause analysis using 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, and DMAIC methodologies
• Develop and maintain PFMEAs, Control Plans, and Process Flow Diagrams
• Monitor process capability (Cp, Cpk) and implement SPC improvements
• Support APQP and PPAP submissions for new product launches
• Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective actions
• Analyze scrap, rework, and defect trends to drive continuous improvement
• Support internal and external audits (ISO 9001 / IATF 16949)
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and suppliers to improve quality performance

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field)
• 2+ years of Quality Engineering experience in manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of SPC, GD&T, and statistical analysis
• Experience with ISO 9001; IATF 16949 experience preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Minitab experience a plus
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
• Six Sigma Green Belt or higher
• Experience in stamping, welding, or metal fabrication
CMM experience is a Plus
