About This Position
As an Instructional Designer and Documentation Specialist at Eagle Metal, you will create engaging, evidence-based training materials and software documentation that reflect our brand and meet the needs of our learners. You will apply adult learning theory and performance data analysis to design effective instructional content and follow established company and team style guidelines to ensure consistency across all deliverables including training materials, software release notes, and supporting documentation.
Requirements:Roles and Responsibilities
· Author software release notes that clearly explain new features and updates
· Maintain accurate, up-to-date software documentation
· Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs) to analyze, plan, design, and implement training deliverables
· Develop visual instructional supports and branded graphics using Canva
· Produce branded instructional videos using Camtasia to support the communication of software features and updates
· Apply Backward Design methodology to guide the development of all instructional content
· Design and develop training materials that promote knowledge retention and practical application
· Partner with SMEs and the LMS team to develop effective learner assessments
· Write clear, concise instructional text and scripts aligned with defined course objectives
Requirements
· 3–5 years of experience in instructional design, curriculum development, or a closely related field
· BA or BS in Education or related field
· Demonstrated experience applying Backward Design methodology to instructional content
· Proficiency in analyzing assessment data and using performance insights to evaluate and improve instructional effectiveness
· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and with subject matter experts
· Experience creating visual content and branded materials using Canva
· Hands-on experience with at least one LMS platform
· Proficiency in video editing using Camtasia
· Comfortable working with a range of digital tools and technology platforms
Preferred Skills
· Experience with Brightspot or a similar content management system (CMS)
· Familiarity with Tovuti as an LMS platform
· Experience with VYOND for video animation and interactive content creation
· Familiarity with Jira or a similar project management tool for tracking and organizing work
