About This Position

POSITION SUMMARY:

Opaa! Food Management is seeking a motivated IT Automation & Development Intern to assist our Information Technology team with automation, system integrations, data reporting, and internal technology initiatives.

This internship offers hands-on experience working with modern business systems including Zoho, Microsoft 365, SQL databases, and cloud platforms. The intern will contribute to real projects that improve operational efficiency across our organization while also supporting general IT initiatives.

This role is ideal for a student interested in software development, systems automation, data analytics, and enterprise IT systems.

FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

The intern will assist with a mix of development, automation, and IT operational tasks.

Automation & Development

  • Assist with building automation scripts and tools to improve internal workflows
  • Help develop integrations between business systems using APIs
  • Support development of internal applications in platforms such as Zoho Creator
  • Create dashboards, reports, and data queries to support business operations
  • Assist with scripting and automation tasks using JavaScript, Python, or PowerShell
  • Help test and deploy internal automation tools

Data & Reporting

  • Assist with SQL queries and data preparation for reporting systems
  • Help maintain and improve analytics dashboards
  • Support data validation and troubleshooting across systems

IT Operations Support

  • Assist IT staff with internal technology support tasks
  • Help document IT processes and technical systems
  • Participate in testing new software tools and technologies
  • Assist with troubleshooting internal systems and applications

Research & Innovation

  • Research new technology solutions that could benefit the organization
  • Assist with AI and automation initiatives
  • Help prototype small internal tools or proof-of-concept applications
  • Other job duties as assigned.

Physical/Visual Activities or Demands: Physical/visual activities or demands that are commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job.

1. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand, walk, talk, hear, kneel, and sit. Occasionally required to stoop, push, pull, feel, grasp, and reach with hands and arms.

2. The employee must exert over 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or be able to frequently lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 35 pounds.

3. Specific vision abilities required by this job include concentrated attention, close vision, far vision, and ability to bring objects into sharp focus.

POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education: Pursuing Bachelor's Degree in computer science, a related degree, or similar certifications.

Experience/Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving skills and curiosity about technology
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Strong communication and documentation skills

Applicants do not need experience with all technologies, but familiarity with the following is beneficial:

  • JavaScript or similar scripting language
  • SQL and database querying
  • REST APIs and JSON data
  • Python or PowerShell scripting
  • Basic web development (HTML/CSS)
  • Data analysis or reporting tools
