Certified Nursing Assistant at Compass Health Inc – Morro Bay, California

Bayside Care Center, a skilled nursing facility, is seeking Certified Nurse Assistant who want to use their skills to improve the lives of our residents! We are also looking for a driver to assist in picking up newly admitted residents and occasionally medical appointments.

PM shifts are preferred.

Duties are as follows but not limited to:

1. Handling and serving residents in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort.

2. Learn to recognize signs and symptoms of adverse reactions.

3. Following instructions and directions of the Charge Nurse of the station to establish facility routine and policy.

4. Give direct resident care such as bathing or assisting residents with bed baths, showers or tub baths; positioning of residents in bed; routine oral hygiene and denture care; assisting residents in transfers and ambulating; giving bedpan and urinal and commode when necessary; preparing residents for meals and feeding when necessary.

5. Passing out nourishment and drinking water.

6. Giving related resident care such as helping in admissions, transfers and discharges of residents; giving post mortem care.

7. Giving residents care treatments such as taking temperatures, pulses, respirations and blood pressures; applying ice bags; recording fluid intake and output; collecting specimens and taking care of Foley catheters.

8. Using equipment such as bed cradles; Hoyer lifts; wheelchairs, walkers; canes, crutches, sphygmomanometers and stethoscopes.

9. Keeping residents’ rooms clean and neat, wiping up spills, keeping bed tables and closets clean and orderly.
