About This Position
ENGINEERING TECH II

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
-
A person who performs a variety of duties in and around the buildings of the facility complex to assist the tradesmen and other workers in completing their tasks. Repairs and maintains machinery and other mechanical equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS
-
Professional/Educational
-
Valid Illinois Drivers license.
-
Three or more years of previous facilities maintenance experience.
-
Knowledgeable in electrical and electrical safety.
-
Must possess technical skill and knowledge to perform duties.
-
Must be able to follow direction, both verbal and written, and work cooperatively with other staff members.
-
Must possess multiple mechanical repair abilities.

Personal

Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.

Appears well groomed and observes the facility dress code; wears identification badge while on duty.

Reports to work as scheduled; minimal absenteeism.

Consistently completes and maintains assigned duties.

Actual pay will be determined by qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
