Job Summary:
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides comprehensive, patient-centered medical care in an outpatient clinic serving uninsured and underserved populations. Working collaboratively within a physician-led, team-based care model, the NP delivers high-quality care within scope of practice while supporting clinic quality standards, patient safety, and regulatory compliance. This position may require travel between clinic locations to support operational and patient care needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide direct patient care including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up
• Perform histories and physical examinations and develop evidence-based treatment plans
• Order, interpret, and manage labs, imaging, and diagnostic studies
• Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with state law and clinic policy
• Provide preventive care, chronic disease management, and patient education
• Coordinate referrals and collaborate with physicians and care team members
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation in the EHR (Athena-aligned)
• Complete medication reconciliation, problem list updates, and health maintenance
• Participate in quality improvement, chart reviews, and patient safety initiatives
Qualifications
• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program
• Current NP certification (AANP or ANCC)
• Active, unrestricted Arizona Nurse Practitioner license
• DEA registration or eligibility

Advancement is based on demonstrated competencies, level of responsibility, and performance expectations rather than length of service. This is indicated by a skills checklist as signed by a direct supervisor.
Physical Requirements:
The ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds is required for this position.
