Purpose:

The Quality Technician ensures product quality through inspections, testing, and accurate documentation. They program and optimize visual inspection machines, maintain gauge calibration software, and perform first article, in-process, and outgoing inspections. Responsibilities include assessing at-risk features, updating programs, and troubleshooting inspection errors. This role supports outsourced process inspections and performs related quality tasks as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Inspect, check, and test product. Document findings on the appropriate hard copy or electronic forms.
• Perform first article inspections, set up verification, and in-process inspections
• Utilize optical comparator, hand gauges, and visual inspection to quality product prior to shipment to customer
• Perform outgoing and incoming inspections for outsourced processes
• Gauge calibration software maintenance
• Programming and optimization of visual inspection machine. This includes:
  • Assessing at risk features for programming
  • Creating and updating programs to accurately inspect parts
  • Updating the program list
  • Identify and adjust programs as needed due to errors/failures

• Flex between departments based on daily and weekly production priorities.
• Other related duties as assigned

Credentials and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• At least on year of general manufacturing experience
• Ability to utilize and properly inspect with metrology equipment
• Ability to follow instructions on Job Traveler
• Ability to read manufacturing drawings
• Ability to handle up to 50 lbs. unassisted
• Strong communication skills
• Microsoft Office experience required
• Willingness to learn all necessary processes, read routings, and sign off on daily tasks
• Familiarity with ISO 13485 or equivalent
• Familiarity with Title 21 CFR Part 820
