About This Position

Position Description:

Job Title: Leasing Agent

Reports to: Regional Manager

Job Summary:
Calibrate Property Management is looking for a floating Leasing professional to be the face of our 4 Chicago Communities, totaling 233 units! In this role, you will split your time between the 4 buildings depending on business need. You will also guide potential residents through the leasing process, promote the best features of each property, and be a support to the residents. Ideal candidates should have a responsible and positive disposition.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Greet and engage with walk-in visitors and respond to online and phone inquiries promptly.
Conduct property tours and showcase property amenities to potential residents.
Accurately and efficiently process rental applications and lease agreements.
Address questions regarding leasing terms, community policies, and resident services.
Assist In marketing and outreach efforts by helping maintain print and online postings of vacancies.
Ensure the leasing office, model units, and common areas are clean, inviting, and presentable.
Take instruction from leadership on tasks to improve resident satisfaction and property success.
Handle administrative tasks as needed such as updating the leasing database, managing tour appointment schedule, and maintaining leasing documentation.

Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong understanding of property management software, preferably Yardi.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
Knowledge of local, state, and federal housing regulations.
Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
1 + years of experience in property management, particularly with apartment complexes.

Work Environment:
This is primarily a desk job conducted in a climate-controlled office setting and will require the regular use of office equipment such as computers, printers, telephones, and photocopiers. This role primarily operates from the onsite office, with minimal travel required, if any. There will be regular interactions with other department members, other internal teams, and external vendors.

Physical Demands:
This position involves sitting for prolonged periods. There will also be a requirement to walk the property to conduct tours and ensure the property is clean and welcoming.
Occasionally may be required to lift and transport items weighing up to 50 pounds, such as boxes of documents or office supplies.
Regular use of a computer keyboard, mouse, and office equipment requires fine motor skills.
Must be able to consistently focus on computer screens and read documents. Close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus are necessary.
Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with coworkers, vendors, and other stakeholders, both in person and over the phone.
