Requirements:

Mental Health Professional:

· Experience in the delivery of clinical services to recipients with mental illness.

· Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders.

· Knowledge of group behavior and dynamics, societal trends and influences, human migrations, ethnicity, and cultures and their history and origins.

· Demonstrated ability to interact with families from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.

· Able to work independently within established guidelines and with limited supervision and assistance.

· Able to travel to and from meetings with families, school officials, and other agencies.

· Able to communicate clearly and effectively with other professionals in verbal and written formats.

· Master’s degree in one of the behavioral sciences and licensed under Minnesota Statues as a psychologist, clinical social worker, marriage and family therapist, or psychiatric nurse.

Pay Range: $28.00 - $31.00 Depending Licensure and experience

Clinical Trainee

The Mental Health Professional Clinical Trainee is responsible to provide diagnostic assessments, psychotherapy, and mental health skills for children and adolescents experiencing mental health issues, communication challenges, or family conflict under the supervision of a Licensed MHP. Day-to-day supervision is provided by the treatment supervisor, school principal and the Stellher program coordinator.

· Is enrolled in an accredited graduate program of study to prepare the staff person for independent licensure as a mental health professional and who is participating in a practicum or internship with the license holder through the individual's graduate program; or

· Has completed an accredited graduate program of study to prepare the staff person for independent licensure as a mental health professional and who is in compliance with the requirements of the applicable health-related licensing board, including requirements for supervised practice.

Pay Range: $22.00 - $26.00 DOE

Mental Health Practitioner:

· Able to communicate clearly and effectively with other professionals in verbal and written formats.

· Master’s degree preferred.

· Minimum of one of the following:

o Bachelor’s degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields and 2000 hours of experience in the delivery of services to recipients with mental illness or substance use disorder required.

o Bachelor’s degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields and has completed an internship/practicum with direct interaction with adult or child clients.

o Has 4000 hours of work experience in the delivery of services to adults or children with a mental illness or substance abuse disorder.

Pay Range: $20.00 - $24.00 DOE
