Full Time Daycare Assistant Infant/Toddler at The J – Overland Park, Kansas

Join our team as an assistant working in an amazing infant or toddler room. Our assistants help to provide a safe, nurturing and exciting learning environment. Assistants will supervise children, keep the classroom organized and communicate with parents. Assistants work with a team of other lead and assistant teachers to make sure everything runs smoothly. Our school is located at 12320 Nall Avenue in Overland Park.

Schedule

• Full-Time Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:30pm OR 8:30am-5:00pm

Responsibilities

• Provide for the health and safety of all children in the school
• Treat children with dignity, respect, and compassion at all times
• Provide support to teachers through lesson plan implementation, daily cleaning tasks, and supervision of children
• Cultivate and maintain a positive relationship with parents
• Maintain KDHE requirements in classrooms at all times.
• Attend training and professional development opportunities as assigned

• High School diploma or Equivalent (Required)
• Experience working with children (Preferred)

Physical Requirements

Job requires frequent (2-5 hours per shift) standing, walking, carrying and repetitive motions and occasional (up to 2 hours per shift) sitting, lifting up to 20 pounds, pushing/pulling, climbing and stooping/crouching.
