HR Manager Position Summary

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day human resources operations at Legacy Pointe at UCF, supporting leaders and employees across all departments within the community. This role oversees recruitment, employee relations, HR compliance, onboarding, performance management, and employee engagement initiatives that support a positive and productive workplace environment.

The HR Manager serves as a strategic partner to leadership by providing guidance on workforce planning, policy interpretation, employee concerns, and organizational initiatives. This position plays a critical role in ensuring HR practices remain compliant with applicable laws and regulations while supporting Legacy Pointes commitment to Hospitality, Service, and Accountability.

Through collaboration with department leaders, the HR Manager helps recruit and retain a strong workforce, supports employee development, and helps maintain a workplace culture that allows employees to succeed while delivering exceptional service to residents.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead the recruitment and hiring process for the community, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and offer coordination
  • Partner with department leaders to identify staffing needs and support workforce planning efforts
  • Oversee onboarding and orientation processes to ensure new employees are successfully integrated into the organization
  • Serve as a resource to managers and employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and workplace concerns
  • Manage employee relations matters including investigations, conflict resolution, coaching, and disciplinary processes
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws as well as applicable healthcare regulations
  • Maintain accurate employee records, personnel files, and HR systems in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Oversee employee training initiatives including compliance training, orientation programs, and professional development support
  • Support benefits administration and serve as a liaison between employees and benefit providers
  • Monitor workforce metrics including hiring activity, retention, turnover trends, and staffing levels
  • Partner with leadership to develop initiatives that support employee engagement, communication, and workplace culture
  • Assist with compensation reviews, pay adjustments, and internal equity considerations
  • Coordinate HR-related reporting and documentation as needed for organizational leadership
  • Provide guidance and support to department managers on performance management and employee development
  • Participate in community leadership meetings and support organizational initiatives as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required
  • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of Human Resources experience with increasing levels of responsibility
  • Experience managing employee relations matters, investigations, and performance management processes
  • Strong understanding of employment laws, HR compliance requirements, and HR best practices
  • Experience supporting recruitment and workforce planning efforts
  • Senior living, healthcare, or other regulated industry experience preferred
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience working with HRIS systems, payroll platforms, and workforce management tools preferred
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with discretion
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or similar HR certification preferred but not required
