MORTGAGE LOAN ORIGINATOR at SOUTHEASTERN BANK – HINESVILLE, Georgia

The Mortgage Loan Originator acts as the primary liaison between borrower and lender, responsible for guiding customers through the mortgage application process, analyzing financial documentation to determine creditworthiness, and advising on loans products. Duties include:

• Primarily responsible for the origination of secondary-market residential mortgage loans under broker agreements between the Bank and the mortgage lenders/investors.
• Conduct interviews with prospective borrowers to analyze financial and credit data to determine customer financing objectives.
• Advise customer of product/pricing policies and guidelines; and gather any additional required information to satisfy investor guidelines.
• Responsible for reaching established loan production goals on a consistent basis.
• Work directly with Bank branch personnel to provide mortgage products and services to customers; and cross-sell Bank products and services to non-Bank customers.
• Manage and develop relationships with real estate professionals in the Bank's market area.
• Provide a high level of customer service by being knowledgeable of lending programs, policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with Bank policies and procedures.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2-5 years mortgage loan origination experience
• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, proficiency with loan origination software and other technology
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills; and strong customer service skills

Preferred: 5+ years mortgage loan origination and/or consumer lending experience.
