Manufacturing Engineer at Coburn Technologies, Inc. – South Windsor, Connecticut

We’re Coburn Technologies - a global leader in precision optical manufacturing - and we’re looking for a Manufacturing Engineer who enjoys hands-on problem solving, learning how products are built, and helping manufacturing processes run better every day.

This role is a great fit for an engineer who has a solid manufacturing foundation and is ready to grow their skills, take on increasing responsibility, and make a real impact on the shop floor.

• Support engineering changes and product improvements across existing product lines.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing and product issues in collaboration with engineering, operations, and service teams.
• Assist with quality, corrective action, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to improve manufacturability, reliability, and efficiency.
• Participate in documentation, process updates, and standard work.
• Exposure to EHS initiatives is a plus and an opportunity to expand your skill set.

What You Bring - Manufacturing Engineer / Sustaining Engineer

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent hands-on experience).
• 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Working knowledge of 3D modeling (SolidWorks preferred).
• Basic to intermediate understanding of product development, quality systems, and lean manufacturing concepts.
• Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Infor SyteLine is a plus, but not required).
• Strong problem-solving skills, curiosity, and a willingness to learn.
• A collaborative mindset and a practical, “roll-up-your-sleeves” approach.

You’ll work closely with experienced engineers and manufacturing leaders, gain exposure to the full product lifecycle, and see your work make a difference on the production floor.
