About This Position
Description:
Assists with all aspects of data/information entry, tracking membership statistics; coordinating membership process, and responding to member requests. Assists with membership benefits programs, membership satisfaction and supports information related to membership, member related services and potential new members. Awareness of our membership database in support of our three core focus areas of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Hartford; (a) academic success, (b) healthy lifestyles and (c) good character & citizenship
- Contributes to the accurate and timely maintenance of a web-based member database.
- Collects, reviews and accurately inputs membership applications and other related documents.
- Provides demographic reports of membership data on a regular and consistent basis.
- Timely and accurately processes ClubHub data entry for all members
- Monitors the front desk equipment, supplies and various program needs
- Brings inventory and supply issues to the attention of management
- Conducts community outreach activities, encourages parent/guardian engagement, promotes and recruits youth for programs (i.e. family plus)
- Schedules tours and orientations for new members, parents, volunteers and visitors
- May assist or provide program services and cooperative learning activities for youth that are both recreational and educational
- Ensures the safety of members, demonstrates positive values, and ethical behavior during service and program delivery
- Displays a high level of enthusiasm, commitment and professionalism towards Club members, parents and activities
- Monitors attendance, pick-ups and drop offs of children according to safety and security protocols and parental or guardian authorizations
- Will have oversight of individuals, groups of youth, visitors and people entering and exiting the building
- This job requires availability of Monday-Friday 1:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m.
- High School diploma or GED
- Experience working with youth
- Data entry skills
- Proven positive customer service skills
- Cultural competency working with Latino and African-American populations is extremely beneficial
- Ability to clearly communicate verbally and written
- Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus
- Flexibility, patience, tolerance, and a willingness to learn new related skills
- Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office products
