Senior Accountant at Double E Company – West Bridgewater, Massachusetts

The Senior Accountant is responsible for a company’s financial procedures, records and statements for compliance with laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end and year-end close process for a multi-entity organization, including intercompany transactions and journal entry preparation
• Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
• Sales tax monthly and quarterly filings
• Preparation and analysis of various reports, i.e. sales and product margin reports
• Assist with preparation of annual budget
• Analysis and reporting of variances to budget and to prior year
• Variety of special projects in support of division management
• Assist with maintenance and review of inventory costing and values
• Assist in annual external audit as well as other compliance reporting

Requirements

• Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office
• Flexibility and ability to handle multiple and changing priorities
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written

Education and Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Degree in Accounting
• Experience using ERP system, such as Visual
• Experience in manufacturing and cost accounting a plus.
