Position Overview

The Armed Security Specialist is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires strong situational awareness, sound judgment under pressure, and the ability to respond effectively to routine and emergency situations while complying with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

•Safely transport materials between designated locations
• Maintain constant vigilance and situational awareness during all transport operations
• Operate company vehicles in a safe and defensive manner
• Follow strict chain-of-custody procedures to ensure accountability of all items
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any issues
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, team members, and clients
• Respond quickly and appropriately to security threats, emergencies, or suspicious activity
• Adhere to all firearms safety protocols and company use-of-force policies
• Maintain accurate logs, reports, and documentation of all transport activities
• Provide a visible security presence during pickups, deliveries, and site interactions

Physical & Sensory Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
• Ability to sit for extended periods when assigned to stationary posts
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds

Qualifications & Requirements

• Prior experience in law enforcement, the military or security preferred
• Must be legally eligible to carry a firearm
• Completion of all state and/or municipal mandated firearms training
• Successful completion of live-fire qualification demonstrating accuracy and safe handling under pressure
• Ability to obtain and maintain a state-issued Agent Card and any required guard card(s)
• Must pass a federal background check
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and composed in stressful or emergency situations
