Position Summary:
The HSC Center for NativeAmerican Health is seeking a team-oriented, highly motivated, and exceptionallyknowledgeable person who has experience in Native American education to overseeits Student Development core.
The Education & OutreachSpecialist will be an administrative partner to the CNAH director. They willhave working knowledge of Indian education theories and academic successstrategies for Native American students and effectively engage tribal leaders,Native students, UNM leaders, and academic institutions such as tribal collegesand universities, and the public, tribally operated, and Bureau of IndianEducation school systems. They will also have experience and skills in pipelineprogram and grant development that is needed to grow the Student Development andTribal Health Workforce core.

- Experience working with Native American students, preferably at the undergraduate and graduate levels
- Academic success strategic planning skills and experience
- Effective collaboration and communications with Tribal communities, colleges and universities.
- Grant development track record Demonstrated strong writing and oral communication skills
