Ontario Christian School is seeking a qualified full-time K-8 PE Teacher who will contribute to our commitment to student wellness, physical development, and faith-based education. This educator will design and deliver engaging, active lesson plans while creatively integrating biblical truth into a standards-based physical education program. Through both instruction and mentorship, the teacher will guide students in developing physical fitness, motor skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship, while supporting their spiritual growth. The position primarily involves teaching PE to K-8 students.

The ideal candidate will preferably have five years of teaching experience in physical education or a related field and a passion for collaborating with colleagues in a Christ-centered environment. Experience in a Christian school setting is preferred. As a member of the Ontario Christian faculty, this individual is expected to demonstrate professionalism, strong communication skills, and a commitment to service. The teacher will plan, organize, and implement a biblically based, faith-integrated physical education program that promotes healthy lifestyles, physical fitness, and character development while guiding and mentoring students spiritually. This role reports to the K-8 Principal.

Experience

• 0-5+ years of classroom teaching experience, teaching in an applicable grade or subject.
• Prior experience working in a Christian school environment.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in a teaching related field.
• Current teaching credential or working towards a credential in the appropriate subject area.
• Related education in the Christian faith.
• Completion of student teaching.
• Knowledge and implementation of relevant technology.
• Deep understanding and knowledge of Biblical principles.
• Best practice teaching methods.
