ADVANCE PRACTICE PROVIDER URGENT CR at Salina Regional Health Center – Salina, Kansas

The Advance Practice Provider works in collaboration with physicians to assess the physical needs of patients in an urgent care setting. Orders, interprets, and records results of clinical tests. Prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment. Familiar with advanced concepts, practices and procedures and relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals in the fast pace and a variety of illnesses presented in a variety of settings. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. The advance practice provider functions as a consultant, facilitator, educator, change agent, program designer and resource person to a defined patient population and caregivers.

Master or Bachelor of Science Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant Program; or Master of Science Degree from an accredited Nursing Program

One year family medicine clinic or minor emergency care experience preferred

Current Kansas Physician Assistant license (PA-C), or current Kansas Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license (APRN)
