About This Position
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
This is a supervisory role, responsible for managing the practice’s clinical staff. Responsible for leading and working within the clinical staff. Ensures that internal and external parties receive high quality clinical services. Acts as a deputy to the Clinical Manager. Takes on the various administrative and supervisory responsibilities required of the Clinical Manager if they are absent.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThis list may not include all of the duties that may be assigned
- Provides leadership, guidance, and support to clinical staff members.
- Maintains all duties and responsibilities of a nurse in the practice’s clinical setting.
- Ensures clinical services adhere to appropriate professional and practice standards.
- Assists the Clinical Manager in the professional development and education of the clinical staff.
- Promotes and monitors quality improvement activities.
- Helps monitor and maintain vaccine inventory and proper storage.
- Assists clinical staff with NYS immunization registry issues and registration.
- Ensures care equipment is operable, in good condition, and sufficiently stocked.
- Facilitates teamwork within the clinical setting and across departments.
- Assists in the training and orientation of new clinical team members.
- Covers clinical shifts as needed.
- Manages clinical staff and scheduling in the absence of the Clinical Manager.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCTION & EXPERIENCE:

- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or practical nursing education required alongside corresponding licensing.
- Additionally, seven years of nursing experience with preference to leadership or supervisory roles is preferred.
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

- Great interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Honesty and integrity when dealing with internal and external parties.
- Exercises sound and efficient decision making.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortability with confidentiality associated with management and healthcare.
- Ability to multitask and delegate.
- Basic computer skills.

- Requires a valid New York State RN or LPN license, and a current CPR and/or Advanced Life Support certification.

- Patient-facing
- An indoor office work environment with some occasional travel may be required.
- Full time during normal business hours, occasional after-hours work may be required.

- Ability to sit, stand, kneel, or crouch for extended periods.
- Ability to wear PPE as required.
- Lift and carry approximately 50 lbs.
- Intact senses relevant to the role
- Sufficient mobility and dexterity to carry out nursing duties
