$19.29 - $26.90 an hour - Full-Time Days, 40 hours per week
Boulder Community Health is seeking a Patient Access Specialist who, under general supervision, greets, instructs, directs and schedules patients and visitors.
Internal Medicine Associates of BCH (Boulder Community Health) is a leading primary care practice that offers comprehensive medical services for adults in the Boulder area. Qualifications
•High School graduate or GED preferred
•Prefer one-year reception experience.
•At least six months coding experience preferred
•Word processing and computer experience preferred
Responsibilities
•Greets patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous and helpful manner.
•Checks in patients; verifies and updates necessary information in the medical record and into computer. Checks out patients.
•Collects payments from patients.
•Assists patients with questions about their accounts.
•Escort patient to exam room or lab when needed.
•Closes Cash Drawer at close of business
•Schedules patient appointments in the HER, following office scheduling policies.
•Maintains lobby in neat and orderly manner.
•Answers phone, screens calls, takes messages and provides information.
•Screen visitors and responds to routine requests for information.
