SHIPPING/RECEIVING at OPAL FOODS COOPERATIVE INC – Neosho, Missouri

Job descriptionOpal Foods is currently accepting applications for the position of Shipping & Receiving for our School Processing Plant location. This position is primarily responsible for working in the cooler shipping palletized cartons and crates of our eggs to vendors and customers. During down-time will also work in the warehouse receiving product packaging and other supplies. May assist with other projects and duties as needed. Working hours include some weekend and holiday hours to meet customer requirements. Must have excellent work ethic and be extremely reliable and punctual.

Position Responsibilities:

Set up work area and prepare packaging for the dayInspect, receive and document all incoming trailers for cleanliness, pests, odors and sealsLoad deliveries from cooler into trailers and from warehouse into trailersSet outgoing refrigerated trailers to the correct temperatureLoad and seal pre-cooled trailers with finished productAssign loads to driversMaintain organization and cleanliness of cooler and warehouseInspect, receive and document all incoming loads of packaging materials and suppliesUnload deliveries into cooler and warehouseCheck and document inventory daily in cooler and weekly in warehouseOperate electric pallet jack; drive fork liftHelp team members with other duties as needed throughout the dayRequirements: (knowledge, experience, skills, education)

Follow all Opal Foods Policies and Procedures including but not limited to Safety, Bio-security, FDA, SQF and GMPAble to count accurately and learn automated inventory systemAble to operate an electric pallet jack and drive/operate a fork lift or able to learn and become certifiedAble to lift approximately 80 pounds from height of 2 feet to 5 feet and lift 50 pounds from 6 feet to ground levelAble to maintain a fast pace for up to 3 hours continuallyAble to work in both cold and very hot environments – Requires year-round work including outdoors, in cooler, in warehouse, in cooled trailers and in very hot trailers during summer monthsGood verbal communication skills and the ability to develop professional rapport with a diverse group of drivers and co-workersAbility to speak and read some EnglishMust be dependable and be able to work flexible hours any day of the week, including weekends and holidays.Requires walking, standing, turning, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, manual dexterity, eye-hand coordinationAbout Opal Foods: Opal Foods formed in 2014 and is a partnership between Rose Acre Farms and Weaver Brothers.
