Find your future with us.Role Overview: Intramotev is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer who thrives at the intersection of technical execution and project leadership. You will be the primary technical and operational link between our engineering team and our customers. This role is not a traditional "back-office" engineering position; it requires a unique individual who can manage complex deployment timelines, lead on-site integration projects, and perform high-level technical troubleshooting in the field. This position is based out of St. Louis, MO, and is a full-time, in-office position requiring frequent domestic travel to customer sites (up to 50%).Key Responsibilities:Deployment Project Management: Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of vehicle deployments at customer sites, ensuring projects stay on schedule and meet operational milestones.Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for customer operations teams, managing expectations and coordinating logistics between Intramotev engineering and site personnel.On-Site Technical Leadership: Manage the integration of autonomous, battery-electric railcars into active customer environments, overseeing system start-up and verification.Training & Documentation: Develop deployment plans and training materials; lead the hands-on instruction of customer operators and maintenance teams.Technical Troubleshooting: Perform system-level diagnostics and troubleshooting on hardware and software in the field, facilitating rapid resolution of deployment hurdles.Product Feedback Loop: Synthesize field data and customer feedback to inform the internal product roadmap, ensuring engineering efforts align with real-world operational needs.Team Dynamics:Lead multidisciplinary efforts involving hardware, software, and operations.Work within dynamic teams of 3-10 members on diverse projects.Adapt to evolving project objectives and requirements in a fast-paced environment.Engage in frequent domestic travel to support integration and customer engagement.Why Join Us?Career Growth: Develop your career with a forward-thinking company dedicated to transforming rail technology.Ownership: Take full ownership of a project from the St. Louis shop to successful customer operation.Impactful Work: Be a key player in creating solutions that promote a more sustainable and efficient rail network.About You: Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Systems Management, or a related technical field.3+ years of experience in technical project management, field engineering, or systems integration.Proven ability to manage project timelines and lead stakeholders through technical implementations.Strong technical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical or software-controlled systems.Willingness to expand into technical areas beyond your core expertise.Open-minded and comfortable as a customer-facing representative of the company.U.S. Citizen or permanent resident (immigration or work visa sponsorship will not be provided).Fluent in both written and verbal English.Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Candidate should have a working knowledge of one or (ideally) multiple areas listed below:Experience in the Rail, Electric Vehicle (EV), or Aerospace industries.Familiarity with industrial systems, control logic, or vehicle communication networks.Experience with project management tools and methodologies in a hardware development environment.Demonstrated experience working on project teams and collaborating across engineering disciplines.Typical Education and Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g., Bachelor) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience.Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.Equal Opportunity Employer: Intramotev is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
