Pharmacy Technician I at CaroMont Health – Gastonia, North Carolina

Job Summary: To perform a variety of technical, clerical, and related duties in connection with the activities of the hospital pharmacy; utilizes automation to credit or charge medications to patient accounts; fill requisitions and deliver drugs to nursing units; assist in checking, ordering, and storing floor stock items; and dispense medications under direct supervision of a pharmacist.

Qualifications: Completion of 12th grade (high school or equiv); Six months prior pharmacy work experience preferred; Some ability to perform accurate calculations and reports. Some typing skills; Annual Registration with the NC State Board of Pharmacy is required. . A new Pharmacy Technician hired but not already registered with the NC Board has 30 days from hire date to comply. Active Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) is encouraged. Once CPhT is obtained, promotion to Tech II status will be considered.
