About This Position

Experienced Aerospace Lead Inspector (Local Phoenix Candidates Only) Phoenix, AZ

A well-established aerospace manufacturing company in Phoenix is looking for one exceptional experienced Inspector to perform first piece, in-process, and final-out inspections. The successful candidate will have strong manual CMM and surface plate lay-out skills, only the best need apply. Excellent salary being offered for the right person.

Job description:

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • A self-motivated individual that displays passion, optimism and an outstanding work ethic
  • Must be detail oriented, professional, patient, and a team player.
  • Adapts to changes in the work environment and the ability to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous tasks
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspection on a variety of intricate and precision machined, sheet metal and formed tube parts.
  • Ability to review, edit and generate inspection reports.
  • Read and comprehend written documents such as work instructions and job aids.
  • Knowledge of proper inspection techniques required to obtain accurate measurements.
  • Ability to support business needs as they apply to attendance, overtime, punctuality, and shift.
  • Overtime and Weekends as needed

Knowledge and Experience Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 8 years of previous inspection experience required, Aerospace required.
  • Have strong math skills.
  • Must be able to accurately use and read measuring tools such as comparators, micrometers, calipers and indicators.
  • Have experience and a working knowledge of gauge calibration
  • Have strong Manual CMM and surface plate lay-out skills.
  • Ability to read blueprints and understand GD & T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
  • Adequate knowledge of Microsoft Office computer skills.
  • Understanding of quality systems requirements. (AS9100, ISO9001 etc.)
  • Good interpersonal and verbal / written communication skills.

Monday through Fridays from 6 am until 2:30 pm. Occasional overtime is available.
