Develops, implements, conducts, maintains, and coordinates training for multiple research entities, organizations, and other institutions. Contributes to solving complex, high-level issues within multi-disciplinary programs and leads both in-person and online training. Creates and evaluates training performance metrics, implements protocol revisions, and prepares project evaluations.
Essential Functions
The individual functions as the Regional Coordinator for the Consortium and the Local Performance Site (LPS) operations of the MidAtlantic AIDS Education and Training Center (MAAETC) and is responsible for the coordination of all aspects of the LPS at the University of Pittsburgh and for specific consortium activities for the region. The incumbent is responsible for the overall operation of the Pittsburgh LPS site under the supervision of the Principal Investigator. This individual is required to go into the field to conduct training programs, needs assessments, and other activities at hospitals, clinics, CBOs throughout the region. This is a full-time on campus position. The Pittsburgh site provides training, consultation, and technical assistance within Western and Central Pennsylvania. The Regional Coordinator is responsible for overseeing program planning, organization, evaluation, and monitoring of the LPS training and technical assistance activities by developing, implementing, and evaluating all activities. Supervises other trainers, secretaries, and student workers. The Regional Coordinator is responsible to implement and conducting quality assurance of data related to programming. The incumbent is required to abide by all HRSA, DHHS, DOH directives and requirements and is responsible for keeping the PI informed of activities, progress, and barriers to completion of the project (s) goals, workplan, and other activities. Must be willing and able to travel throughout the region. Must meet the goals and scope of work outlined in the HRSA grant and other grants and contracts awarded to the Principal Investigator. Consortium duties may include representation at virtual or in-person meetings, forums, conferences as requested by the Principal Investigator. The Regional Coordinator reports directly to the Principal Investigator/Executive Director.
Physical Effort
The incumbent must be able to walk, stand for long periods of time to conduct training programs. Must be able to lift training materials for transport to training site locations. Must be able to drive a car for long periods of time (up to 8 hours) within one day.
