JOB DESCRIPTION/TYPICAL TASK BREAKDOWN:

• This role is an Axle Housing Design Engineer in the Drivetrain Castings Component Team. Tasks will be directed by a Senior Engineer on the team and include concept modeling, stress & life analysis, assessing part nonconformance risk, amongst others.
• Potential for additional responsibility depending on experience and demonstrated success in the role.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Concept design and part modeling using Creo.
• Interacts with suppliers, supplier development engineers, and internal partners (Quality, Operations, etc.)

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• BS in Mechanical Engineering
• 2-4 years of relevant work experience

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Proficient in Creo
• Understands basic geometric tolerancing

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Proficient in Creo Simulate FEA
• Experience in steel or iron casting design
• APQP knowledge
• Practical / hands-on experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude
